Bounce PA Bubble Flood is a play-action flood concept run out of Shotgun Trips TE Offset Wk with 11 personnel. Off the run fake, the outside receiver runs a deep corner route while the slot receiver sits underneath on a quick out to the flat, and the near TE releases on a bubble screen route that bends underneath, creating a true three-level flood to one side of the field. This is a zone beater, specifically built to attack Cover 3 by stretching the flat defender, curl defender, and deep third defender vertically and horizontally at the same time, with the primary read progression starting at the deep corner route, working down to the flat route, and finishing with the bubble as the checkdown against zone drops.

Defensive Reads

Read the deep third defender first, if he stays flat footed at the snap he is respecting the run fake and the corner route has separation window before he can recover. Watch the flat or curl defender assigned to the underneath out route, in Cover 3 this defender has to choose between sinking to help the corner or squatting on the flat, either choice opens a throwing lane.
