Overview

NFL Live Ravens Offense is functionally the same book as Ravens Offense. The two share all 588 of this playbook's plays and differ by zero sets, so the NFL Live label is a separate sheet in the menu, not a different scheme. Anything you lab, audible or game plan in one carries over directly to the other. This book is also not oversized: at 588 plays it is larger than only about a quarter of the game's 64 offensive team playbooks, so its depth comes from personnel variety rather than raw volume.

The structure is heavily gun based. Shotgun holds 357 plays (61%) across 23 sets, which makes it the core of the passing game and the main home of the drag, crosser, flat, spot, hitch, slant and Cover 3 beater concepts. Pistol adds 69 plays (12%) over 5 sets and gives you a downhill run look without leaving a gun alignment. Under center, Singleback (80 plays, 14%), I Form (45, 8%), Strong I (21, 4%) and Goal Line Offense (13, 2%) together make up roughly 28% of the book, which is enough to carry a real gap and trap run game with calls like 26 Duo, Counter Weak, 0 1 Trap and FB Dive.

What separates this book is its personnel range: eight groupings from 01 all the way to 32 and 23, including three TE and three RB packages that most gun-heavy books never touch. The game plan it supports is a spread-to-throw, heavy-to-run offense. You move the ball out of Shotgun with quick concepts and play action, then swap into jumbo personnel to force base or goal line defense and run behind extra blockers, with motion and block and release tight ends tying both halves together.

Scheme Fit

NFL Live Ravens Offense wants a quarterback with quick release and short accuracy who can handle a mostly Shotgun passing workload, plus sure-handed tight ends who can both block and release into routes, and a fullback or power back who can finish downhill runs from I Form and Strong I. Big-bodied linemen and multiple quality tight ends are what unlock the 23, 32 and 13 packages that set this book apart. Pick it if you like dictating defensive personnel with formation subs and mixing a gun quick game with a physical under-center run game, rather than living in empty sets.

Strengths

  • Shotgun depth of 357 plays across 23 sets lets you show many looks out of one alignment, so you can stay in gun on most downs and change the concept behind it without your formation giving the call away.
  • Eight personnel groupings, including 23, 32, 13 and 22, let you use formation subs to force heavy defensive packages and then attack with 11 or 01, a mismatch loop that thin personnel books cannot create.
  • Pistol's 69 plays across 5 sets give you downhill runs and play action from a gun depth QB, so defenders cannot key a pass read simply because the quarterback is off the ball.
  • The under-center core (Singleback, I Form, Strong I, Goal Line Offense) carries a real power run menu with 26 Duo, Counter Weak, 0 1 Trap and FB Dive, which gives you a genuine clock-killing and short-yardage identity alongside the gun passing game.
  • Block and Release and Motion concepts paired with heavy TE groupings let you max protect on play action and still leak a tight end into the flat or on a crosser, which punishes defenders who are overcommitted to the run.

Weaknesses

  • At 61% Shotgun, opponents can bank on a pass lean whenever you align in gun, so a user-controlled defender sitting in the middle hook or a nano blitz off the edge can disrupt your most common looks.
  • Strong I has just 21 plays over 2 sets and Goal Line Offense only 13 plays over 2 sets, so your true power formations offer few answers once a defense learns your short-yardage tendencies.
  • I Form's 45 plays across 4 sets leave limited under-center play action variety, which makes it easier for a defense to separate your run calls from your fakes when you line up with a fullback.
  • The listed concept pool is built around short and intermediate throws (drag, crosser, flat, spot, hitch, slant, post), so a patient Cover 3 or two-high shell can take away quick game and make you string together long drives.
  • The book is smaller than roughly three quarters of the offensive team playbooks, so the heavy personnel packages are spread across few sets and experienced opponents can learn your full menu quickly.

Usage Tips

Build your base audible package around Shotgun, using its quick game concepts (slant, hitch, spot, flat) on first and second down and in 3rd and short to medium situations, and hot routing a drag or slant when you read a blitz.

Put a Pistol run and a Pistol play action pass into your audibles for 1st and 10 and 2nd and medium, so you can check between run and pass from the same look after reading the box count.

On 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 go to Strong I or I Form with 26 Duo or FB Dive, and keep Counter Weak available as a changeup when the defense crashes the strong side.

Inside the 5, use Goal Line Offense or Strong I and set the heavy personnel early, then follow with a Block and Release tight end on play action once the defense sells out to stop the run.

When you need to kill clock with a lead, sit in Singleback or I Form with 0 1 Trap and Counter Weak, and save Hail Mary plays such as Goal Post only for the final snap of a half.
