Mtn HB Angle is a man beater built around the HB Angle route, where the running back releases from the backfield and works to the flat before angling back inside across the face of a trailing linebacker, creating natural separation against man coverage. The rest of the route concept occupies the second and third levels to hold safeties and linebackers, but the primary read is the HB out of the backfield, with the progression working to any underneath zone beater on the backside if the linebacker sits on the angle.
