Pre-snap, check if the offense has a running back split out or motioning across the formation, since that reveals whether they intend to check the extra rusher and neutralize the Ws Blitz. Watch cornerback alignment on the outside receivers: tight press alignment confirms the Cover 1 man shell, while soft alignment suggests the offense may be sitting in max protect waiting for the blitz.
