Watch pre-snap for stacked or heavy box fronts with linebackers creeping to the line, since draw works best when you can bait a blitz and hit the vacated middle lane.

Use manual motion or a quick user peek at the Mike linebacker after the snap to identify whether he is dropping into coverage or blitzing, then guide the RB to the opposite gap.

Pair this with Inside Zone and Outside Zone from the same set to keep the defense guessing between gap runs and a delayed hit, since all three plays share the same shotgun action look pre-snap.

Avoid calling HB Draw against disciplined zone defenses that keep linebackers at home reading the backfield, since spy linebackers and light box looks with no blitz shown will sit on the draw and blow it up.
