Jet Shallow Swirl is a jet motion pass concept out of Bunch Wide Nasty in Shotgun that stresses the underneath zones with a true shallow crosser. Usage Tips
Use the jet motion to identify man versus zone before the snap, if a defender follows the motion man across the formation you are almost certainly facing man coverage and should progress straight to the drag or dig for a rhythm throw
This play shines on 2nd and medium to 3rd and short because the shallow drag and jet motion give you an easy checkdown that still moves the chains
Hot route the backside outlet receiver into a quick slant or hitch if the defense shows single high safety with a low corner, that gives you a second short area answer away from the bunch traffic
Pair this call with Jags Duval or Mesh Drive from the same set to keep defenders guessing between shallow crossers and deeper mesh concepts, forcing linebackers to hesitate on their zone drops
Against aggressive user blitzers, get the ball out fast to the jet motion or the drag route since the swirl combo naturally occupies the short zones and buys the quarterback an extra half second
