Overview

The NFL Live Chargers Offense is functionally the same book as Chargers Offense. The two cuts share all 596 plays and differ by zero sets, so picking this version is a labeling choice, not a strategic one. If you have already built an audible package in Chargers Offense, everything transfers here play for play. The only real reason to pick this cut is presentation: it is the NFL Live sheet version of the same 596 play offense.

What you are getting is a shotgun-first spread book. 355 of the 596 plays live in Shotgun across 24 sets, which is 60 percent of the playbook and more sets than most books carry in their entire library. That volume is the point: you can stay in gun on every down, rotate between 24 different alignments, and keep the same core route trees (Bench, spot concepts, flat routes, Cover 3 beaters) coming from looks the defense has to re-diagnose every snap. Singleback adds 96 plays across 7 sets as the balanced early down layer, and the run game is carried by Power, Power Run, Counter, Toss and Dive tags plus play action and RPO style motion work off those same fronts.

Under center, the book is thinner but pointed. I Form gives 60 plays across 4 sets with FB Dive and Counter F type calls, Pistol adds 54 plays across 4 sets, and Goal Line Offense carries 13 plays across 2 sets for the tight window stuff. The oddity is Split T, a 9 play single set package that shows up in only 7 of the game's 236 playbooks, so nearly nobody online has seen it defended live. Add Weak I (6 plays) and Hail Mary (3 plays across 2 sets) and you have a game plan that spreads the field for three quarters and has heavy 23, 32, 22 and 13 personnel available when you want to shorten the game.

Scheme Fit

This book wants a quarterback who is comfortable reading full field from gun with enough mobility to handle play action rollouts and Pistol boot work, plus a back who can catch out of the backfield since so many Shotgun sets keep him as a checkdown or flat option. You also need real interior blockers and a fullback who can actually seal, because the 23, 32 and 22 groupings behind FB Dive, Power and Counter F are what keep the shotgun heavy identity from becoming one dimensional. Pick the NFL Live Chargers Offense if you are a spread-first player who calls most of the game from gun but wants a stocked heavy package for short yardage and clock control, and who will invest the time to learn several of the 24 Shotgun sets rather than cycling three favorites.

Strengths

  • Shotgun depth is the headline: 355 plays across 24 sets means you can build a full audible package where every option is a gun look, so you never tip run or pass by personnel change and you can motion, shift and hot route from a formation the defense already has to respect as pass.
  • The 24 Shotgun sets give you genuine formation subs and alignment variety within one personnel group, letting you run the same Bench or spot combo from wide, tight and bunched splits so a user defender reading your route stems has to relearn spacing every snap.
  • Split T is a real edge in a lobby. With the set appearing in only 7 of the game's 236 playbooks, most opponents have never repped the blocking angles or the play side leverage, and the 9 plays there give you a change up nobody has a saved adjustment for.
  • Heavy personnel is fully stocked despite the spread lean: 23, 32, 22 and 13 groupings feed I Form (60 plays), Goal Line Offense (13) and Weak I (6), so short yardage FB Dive, Power and Counter F are available without abandoning your book.
  • Pistol's 54 plays across 4 sets bridge the two halves, giving you downhill Dive and Counter looks with a shotgun style pass read behind them, which is where play action rollouts hit hardest against a defense sitting on your gun tendencies.

Weaknesses

  • At 60 percent Shotgun, your tendency chart is obvious. A prepared opponent can sit in nickel and dime, keep two high safeties, and never get punished by a personnel mismatch because you rarely force them out of sub packages.
  • Under center run volume is limited. I Form (60), Weak I (6) and Split T (9) combine for 75 plays out of 596, so if the shotgun run game gets stuffed by a hard interior blitz, your alternative is a narrow set of calls that a user can memorize quickly.
  • Only 8 formations total, and three of them (Split T, Weak I, Hail Mary) carry 18 plays between them. That means your practical in game menu is really Shotgun, Singleback, I Form and Pistol, and the 596 play count is concentrated rather than diverse.
  • Goal Line Offense is 13 plays across 2 sets. Inside the five, your options are shallow enough that a defender who keys FB Dive and the power side can crowd the box with confidence.
  • No 10 personnel style empty heavy spread in the listed groupings. Every personnel group carries at least one back and one tight end, so you cannot force a true five wide matchup hunt the way a pure air raid book can.

Usage Tips

Build your primary audible package entirely inside Shotgun, pulling from three or four of the 24 sets so you can flip between a spot concept, a Bench read and a Cover 3 beater without touching the formation menu. Use this on second and medium through third and long.

Put Pistol on your second audible slot for first and ten. The 54 plays across 4 sets let you run Dive and Counter downhill and then run play action off the identical backfield look once the linebackers start crashing.

Reserve I Form for second and short and four minute offense. Counter F and FB Dive out of the 60 play, 4 set group are your clock plays, and the 22 and 21 personnel they carry force the defense into base fronts you can then attack with Singleback play action.

Save Split T for a single high leverage short yardage snap per game. The set exists in only 7 of 236 playbooks, so its value is surprise, and it evaporates the moment you run it three times in a half.

Use Singleback (96 plays, 7 sets) as your neutral down package when you want to disguise. It is balanced enough to keep run and pass rates honest and stops the defense from treating every snap as a gun pass.
