Post-snap, key the quarterback's eyes immediately after the snap since this blitz collapses the pocket fast and forces early decisions, jump any hitch or slant route thrown into the shrinking window. This call beats man protection schemes and offenses that are slow with their line calls, but it gets exposed by hot routed slants and quick outs if the offense reads blitz and gets the ball out before the safeties arrive. Avoid this against empty formations or trips looks with no back in protection, since the extra blockers can pick up both safety rushers and leave your underneath zones thin against four verticals or deep crossers.

User the strong side safety blitzer to time the snap count and free release into the backfield, then spy the running back with your leftover linebacker if the offense shows shotgun and empty checks.
