Key the backside linebacker's pursuit angle, aggressive flow to the play side sets up an easy cutback for the HB. This run struggles against odd fronts with a nose tackle and two attacking defensive ends since it clogs the interior gaps and forces the HB to bounce outside into unblocked pursuit. User controlled defenders flying downhill on run commit or aggressive user linebackers spying the mesh point can blow this play up before the hole develops, so avoid calling it into stacked fronts or when the defense shows an obvious run blitz alignment with linebackers crashing the line pre-snap.

Usage Tips

Run this play on early downs, especially first and second down inside the tackle box when defenses are showing base personnel or light boxes with six or fewer defenders.
