Defensive Reads

Key the middle linebacker depth since a shallow drop suggests he is sitting on the crossing route, which should push your read to the seam or flat instead. Usage Tips
Look for single high safety shells pre-snap since the switch release seam route is designed to split the difference between the safety and any underneath linebacker help.

Use this play on second or third and medium situations where the quads bunch can create natural rub picks against man coverage on the switch release.
