Defensive Reads

Read the mugged linebackers post-snap: if the offense runs quick game expecting blitz, your backers need to get depth fast into their zone drops shown on the diagram or they will be late to hook/curl responsibilities. This shell struggles against deep crossers and dig routes that attack the middle void created by the safety invert, so be ready to sink a linebacker into that lane if you see two receivers stacking vertically on the same side. Usage Tips
