Cover 3 Sky is a three deep, four under zone coverage out of the 3-4 Over Ed front. The diagram shows both cornerbacks and the deep safety carrying vertical zones downfield while the four underlying defenders (two hook/curl players and two flat defenders indicated by the yellow and purple zone lines) sink to their landmarks and squat on short and intermediate routes. The strong safety rotates down into the box as the Sky player, adding a run support body and flat defender, which is the defining trait separating this from Cover 3 Cloud. This is a zone beater killer rather than a blitz package, designed to clog the flats and hook zones while still keeping three defenders deep to eliminate big plays over the top. Primary read progression starts with the deep third defenders holding their landmarks, then working down to the underneath zone drops to squeeze any crossing or curl routes that try to sit in the soft spots between the four under defenders.
Defensive Reads

Hot route your Sam or Will linebacker into a shallow spy or blitz if you diagnose a quick game passing team, since the base call already has good underneath leverage
Pair this with Cover 3 Cloud in the same set to disguise which defender is rotating down, since both plays look identical pre-snap but attack different flat responsibilities
User the underneath zone defender manually to jump shallow crossers and curl routes, since AI zone drops in Madden can be slow to react to option routes breaking inside
