Defensive Reads

Hot route the outside zone defenders into a shallow hook or curl if you anticipate quick out routes, since the base zone drops can leave a soft window at ten to twelve yards. This call works best on second and medium to long situations where the offense is likely to throw underneath or intermediate rather than commit to a shot play against two deep safeties.
