94 Will is a power run out of Weak I with a Wing tag, using 22 personnel to load the box with two backs and a wing tight end. The diagram shows the halfback taking a downhill path off tackle to the strong side, following the fullback and wing blocker who lead through the hole, with the line blocking down and pulling to seal the point of attack. This is a base gap scheme run, not a play-action or RPO, and the primary read is the fullback's block: key his path to decide whether to hit it inside off the double team or bounce it outside off the edge kick out block.
Defensive Reads
Watch linebacker depth pre-snap, if the strong side backer is stacked tight to the line he is likely reading run and will fill the off tackle gap immediately. Identify the edge defender's alignment, a wide 9 technique or crashing DE can blow up the kick out block and force the ball back inside. Post-snap, key the play side safety, if he triggers downhill fast off the run action it signals a run blitz or robber look that can beat this scheme. Look for user controlled defenders flowing hard to the strong side, since 94 Will has no cutback design built in this leaves the backside edge vulnerable to contain. Against base 4-3 or 3-4 fronts with the strong safety in the box, this run has a clean angle, but versus overloaded fronts or a Bear front the double team at the point of attack can get overwhelmed.

Run this early in drives to establish the ground game and set up your play-action shots off the same Weak I look later.
Check the defensive front pre-snap and confirm you have a numbers advantage in the box before snapping, since 94 Will needs at least one extra gap blocker to work versus 8 man fronts.
Use the fullback lead block as your primary read, pressing the hole and reading whether he seals inside or kicks out before committing your run direction.
Pair this with PA Power O or PA TE Slide from the same formation so linebackers cannot sit on run fits without opening up play-action lanes.
Best called on early downs, short yardage and goal line situations where the extra gap blocker from the Wing tag can control the edge against odd fronts.
