Cover 3 and Cover 4 shells with aggressive edge blitzes are most vulnerable since the rush creates natural running room for the screen once it develops. Zone defenses with disciplined flat defenders sitting on shorter routes shut this down quickly since they can read the eyes of the quarterback and jump the throw.

Call this against defenses showing pressure indicators like walked-up linebackers or overloaded fronts, since the blitz creates natural running lanes once blockers release outward.
Use the motion pre-snap to identify if the defense follows with a linebacker or defensive back, which tells you if they are in man coverage and susceptible to the screen.
Throw this quickly off the snap, do not hold the ball, since the timing of the screen depends on blockers getting out ahead of the rush before it collapses the pocket.
Pair this with Read Option or Inside Zone from the same Trey Offset set to keep the defense honest on run fits, then hit them with the swing screen when they start crashing hard on run action.
Avoid calling this into disciplined zone defenses with linebackers sitting in short flat zones, since they can read the screen and blow it up before the wall forms.
