Defensive Reads

Against a 4-3 under front or heavy odd stacks, this play loses effectiveness and you should shift to Mtn Outside Zone or RPO Zone Alert instead.

If the defense shows a light box with only six or fewer defenders in the box, this is your green light to run it every time.

Hot route the backside TE into a stalk block or use him to seal the edge if you see a defensive end crashing hard inside.

Pair this with RPO Peek Slant or RPO Alert Bubble from the same set so linebackers have to respect both the run action and the quick pass, opening cutback lanes.

On early downs, run this play out of a two minute no huddle package to keep defenses honest and prevent them from selling out on pass rush stunts.
