LB All Go is a five man blitz out of the Nickel 3-3-5 that sends all three linebackers off the edge and through interior gaps at the snap, shown in the diagram as three square icons dropping straight downhill before diverging into pass rush lanes. There is no route concept here since this is strictly a pressure package designed to collapse the pocket before the quarterback can climb through his progression. The primary read is not a receiver progression at all: your job as the blitz caller is to identify the protection scheme pre-snap and confirm you have a numbers advantage off the edge or up the middle, then let the blitz timing win the rep for you.
Defensive Reads
Pre-snap, check for a fullback or extra tight end staying in to block, which signals the offense expects pressure and has the protection numbers to pick it up. Watch the offensive line's splits and the running back's depth. Tight splits with a back cheated toward one side tells you which gap will be free after the snap. Post-snap, track whether the quarterback is climbing the pocket or spinning outside the tackles, since a good scrambler can neutralize this blitz if contain is not held. This call gets shut down by hot route sight adjustments and quick screens, so if the offense has been screening you all game, hold this blitz until you can disguise it as coverage first. Look for shotgun spread formations with the back set away from your primary rush lane, that alignment usually means the protection is sliding the wrong direction for this blitz.
Usage Tips
Use LB All Go on third and long or in two minute situations when the offense is likely to use a five or six man protection and you can overload one side.
Check the running back's alignment pre-snap. If he is set to the strong side, attack the weak side edge where the blitz will be unblocked.
Pair this call with Cover 1 Robber Press or Cov 1 Contain Spy from the same set so quarterbacks cannot simply audible into a hot throw against man coverage behind the blitz.
Avoid calling this against empty or four wide receiver sets unless you have a spy plan, since the blitz leaves minimal underneath help against quick option routes.
Mix LB All Go with LB Blitz 1 and Nickel LB Blitz to disguise which gap the pressure is actually coming from, forcing the offensive line to guess on protection slides.
