HB Stretch out of Shotgun Wing Pair is an outside zone run play that sends the offensive line and wing tight end flowing laterally to stretch the defense horizontally before the back plants and gets vertical. The blocking scheme asks linemen to reach block and flow toward the play side, with the wing serving as an extra lead blocker on the edge, while the HB takes the shotgun handoff and reads his blockers to find a crease. This is a zone beater designed to punish gap-heavy fronts and overpursuing linebackers, and the primary read progression starts with the HB pressing the playside tackle track before deciding to bounce outside, bend into the alley, or cut back against grain based on backside pursuit.

Usage Tips
Use pre-snap motion or a quick glance at the box count to confirm you have enough blockers for outside zone before the snap
Attack defenses with light boxes or six men in the box, since the extra wing blocker gives you numbers on the edge
Manually control the HB after the handoff so you can plant and cut off the stretch blocking rather than letting the CPU logic auto path you into a stacked front
Pair this play with Duo or Inside Zone from the same set to keep linebackers guessing between downhill and lateral run reads
Use HB Stretch on early downs in 1st and 10 or 2nd and short to stay ahead of the chains and set up Power O as a change of pace later in the series
