Pair this with Cover 1 Robber or Cover 1 Robber Pirate from the same set so quarterbacks cannot key the extra underneath defender and start guessing which look is coming.
On third and medium, call this to sit on a favorite third down target while trusting your remaining corners to hold up one on one against lesser threats.
Hot route your free safety underneath only if you are confident your corners can win their man matchups without help, otherwise leave the shell intact to protect against explosive plays over the top.
