At the snap, the outside receiver from the bunch runs a deep crosser all the way across the field, the middle bunch receiver breaks off a deep in from the numbers, and the inside slot receiver clears out to the flat before working vertically up the sideline. Defensive Reads

Usage Tips

Use the pre-snap jet motion to bait linebackers and safeties, if they run with the motion man you are almost certainly facing man coverage and the deep crosser becomes your top priority read.

Against zone shells, work the deep in route since it settles into the soft spot between the hook and deep third defenders, especially versus Cover 3.

This play excels on second and long or third and medium situations where the deep crosser has time to develop and the defense is more likely sitting in zone.

Pair this play with Curl Flat or Slot Hook earlier in a series so the defense respects shorter routes, then hit them with the deep crosser off the same bunch look once they start jumping underneath routes.

If you see press man on the crosser's release, consider hot routing the flat route to a quick out to give yourself a faster answer against aggressive corners.
