Call this play on short yardage and goal line situations where you need a quick, decisive gap to pick up two to four yards against a stacked box.
Check the defensive front pre-snap and if you see extra defenders crashed inside or a heavy blitz look, consider audibling to Counter Weak or Power O from the same set to attack the edges instead.
Use the fullback's lead block as your key, press the hole quickly and trust the initial crease rather than trying to bounce it outside since this play has no lateral stretch built in.
Mix this in after running PA Slide, PA Power O, or Stutter Go's to keep linebackers honest, since the play-action looks off Strong I sell the same downhill dive action before turning into a pass.
Avoid calling this on third and long or in obvious passing situations since the lack of any pass option means a stuffed run puts you in a difficult down and distance.
