Slants Slot Flat out of Singleback East (12 personnel) is a quick-hitting man beater built around timing and horizontal stress. Both slants attack inside leverage while the flat route drags a defender to the boundary, creating a natural high-low stretch on any underneath defender spying the slot. Use this play on 3rd and short to medium since the slants convert quickly and the flat gives a checkdown against a soft corner
Pair this call with Y-dig Inside Hook or TE Out later in the drive so defenders start biting on the quick slant timing, opening up the deeper dig for a big play
Against off-man coverage, take the backside slant first since it is away from help and the corner has to flip his hips to recover
