Post-snap, key the returner initial jab step since it tells you which direction the return blocking is funneling and lets your leverage defenders adjust their pursuit angle immediately. Watch for a wall return setup where blockers form a lane on one sideline, which beats a poorly angled kick and requires quick lane recognition from your coverage unit.
