Pre-snap, check safety alignment for two-high versus single-high, since 3-3 Over typically shows a two-high shell that can rotate down into a three deep zone after the snap. Combine this call with Cover 3 Sky or Cover 3 Cloud later in a series so the quarterback sees a similar shell but gets a different underneath rotation, creating confusion on his hot read.
Bring 3-3 Over out on third and medium when you want zone integrity against digs and curls, then follow it up with Nickel Sim 2 to disguise pressure off the same look.
Spot drop your underneath defenders with discipline and do not bite on double moves, since the shell is vulnerable if a linebacker jumps a route too early and vacates his zone.
