Defensive Reads
Watch the two deep safeties pre-snap, if they are aligned at depth expecting to split the field this confirms Tampa 2 or another two deep shell. Post-snap, key the Mike linebacker's drop, if he gets vertical depth quickly the deep middle hole is covered and outside seams become the only vulnerable zone. This coverage is exposed to quick out breaking routes to the flat before the corners can sink, so watch for hitches and quick outs on early throws. It shuts down four verticals and post/corner combinations because the deep middle and both outside thirds are accounted for by five underneath defenders and two deep safeties.
