This is a zone blitz designed to disguise pressure with only three deep defenders responsible for the entire field, making it a strong scheme against man beater route combos that rely on quick timing throws over the middle.
Defensive Reads
Pre-snap, identify if the quarterback is checking the middle of the field for the Mike linebacker blitz tell, since the crossing stunt design telegraphs pressure through the A gaps if the offense has a hot route ready. This call beats quick game and shallow crossers because the interior stunt collapses the pocket before receivers can settle into their breaks.
