Jet PA Sprint RT is a play-action rollout out of Singleback Y Trips Close Wing that sells the jet sweep motion before the quarterback rolls right on a sprintout action. The Trips side flood combo stretches the zone at three levels while the backside Y tight end works across the field as a bailout option if the roll gets cut off. This is a man and zone beater on the move since the sprintout naturally escapes interior pressure, and the primary read progression starts with the outside deep route on the Trips side, works down to the intermediate crosser, then checks down to the flat route or the drifting tight end if both are covered.
Check for single high safety shells pre snap, since Cover 3 and Cover 1 are vulnerable to the flood concept on the Trips side because the rollout outleverages the flat defender Watch the play side outside linebacker or slot corner, if he stays on the line to contain the jet sweep run he will be late getting depth on the deep route Identify Cover 2 or Cover 4 shells with two deep safeties, since those coverages can sit on the flood routes and force the quarterback to hold the ball longer on the rollout Key the backside contain rusher and any user controlled defender spying the quarterback, a disciplined edge defender who stays home on the jet fake can blow up the rollout before routes develop Look for blitz packages that bring pressure from the play side edge, since a well timed contain blitz negates the rollout advantage and forces an early checkdown or throwaway
Sell the jet motion fully before the snap so linebackers and safeties bite on the sweep fake, which opens up throwing lanes on the rollout
Use this on early downs or manageable third downs where you have room to throw underneath if the deep shot is covered, since the rollout eats clock and yardage is capped once the quarterback commits to the edge
Check the flat defender pre snap, if a corner or linebacker sits low on that side the deep route on the Trips side will have a soft window against single high safeties

Hot route the tight end into a quick out or flat route if you see aggressive edge pressure, since the sprintout is vulnerable to a fast contain rusher who does not respect the run fake
