Usage Tips
Use this on early down and medium to long distance situations where you expect a balanced pass call from the offense, since the zone shell holds up against both run support and standard drop back passing.
Pre-snap, check the offensive personnel and motion to confirm you are not walking into a heavy run look, since Dime personnel with only two linebackers is vulnerable to inside runs if the offense catches you in obvious pass mode.
User the middle linebacker or the deep safety depending on whether you anticipate a crosser or a vertical shot, since this play lives or dies on a defender jumping the right throwing lane.
