Overview

Sim Explosivestress Rn Offense is a 257 play specialty book that splits its identity almost perfectly between under center football and the Shotgun. Singleback leads at 70 plays (27%) across 5 sets and Shotgun sits right behind it at 68 plays (26%) across 5 sets, which means you are never forced to pick a lane before the play call screen. Behind that, the book stacks heavy personnel: I Form (39 plays, 15%, 3 sets), Weak I (21 plays, 8%), Strong I (13 plays, 5%) and Full House (12 plays, 5%) combine for 85 plays of two back football. Pistol adds 22 plays (9%) as a middle ground, and Goal Line Offense (9 plays) plus Hail Mary (3 plays) cover the situational edges.

The concept list tells you exactly how this is meant to be played: Dive, Run Play and Play Action anchor the ground game, while Corner, Out, Flat, Curl Flat, Flood, Smash, Cover 3 Beater and Cover 2 Beater handle the pass. This is a sequencing playbook. You establish FB Dive and 0 1 Trap out of the tight sets, then punish the run fit with Play Action off the same look, and attack the sideline with Corner Strike, Curl Flats and 494 F Flat once the safeties start cheating down. The Flood and Smash tags give you high low answers on a single side, so you can read a defense without needing five progression reads.

Choosing Sim Explosivestress Rn Offense over a spread heavy book gets you personnel disguise. The 21, 22, 23, 12, 20, 11 and 10 groupings all live here, and Full House appears in only 9 of the game's 236 playbooks, so most opponents have no rehearsed answer for it. You get the condensed formations that make a run game credible in competitive play, plus enough Shotgun volume to avoid becoming predictable on third down. It is a book for players who want to control pace and force the defense to declare its front before the snap.

Scheme Fit

This playbook wants a fullback and a lead blocking tight end more than it wants a scrambler, since 85 of its plays come from I Form, Weak I, Strong I and Full House and the 23 and 22 personnel groups only work with bodies who can actually seal a gap. Your quarterback needs solid play action ratings and accuracy on intermediate out and corner throws rather than elite speed, and your featured back should carry high trucking and ball carrier vision for the Dive and Trap calls. Pick Sim Explosivestress Rn Offense if you are a clock control player who enjoys sequencing runs into play action rather than a user who wants to spread the field and read four verticals every snap.

Strengths

  • Near even Singleback (70) and Shotgun (68) volume means your audible package can carry both an under center run set and a three receiver passing set, letting you flip between them off the same personnel without burning a timeout or telegraphing intent.
  • Full House is one of the rarest formations in the game (9 playbooks out of 236), and its 12 plays give you a look most opponents have never user defended, with FB Dive and the tight run concepts hitting before the second level can flow.
  • 85 combined plays across I Form, Weak I, Strong I and Full House give you real two back sequencing: run the same blocking shell repeatedly, then hit Play Action off it with the Corner and Flood tags to punish downhill run fits.
  • Condensed sets let motions and shifts do heavy lifting. Motioning a tight end or slot out of I Form or Strong I forces the defense to reveal man or zone pre snap, and your Cover 3 Beater and Cover 2 Beater calls become far easier reads.
  • Goal Line Offense (9 plays) plus the heavy backfield packages mean short yardage and red zone possessions stay inside your own scheme instead of requiring a formation you have not practiced.

Weaknesses

  • Only 22 Pistol plays (9%) and no Empty concentration means you have limited answers when you need immediate depth and a quick five wide look against pressure, so heavy blitz users can crowd the box knowing you must protect a back.
  • Just 3 Hail Mary plays give you almost nothing for desperation end of half situations, and no true four verticals volume from a dedicated deep set.
  • The 10 personnel presence is thin compared to the 21, 22 and 23 groupings, so opponents who sub in extra defensive backs against your heavy looks can force you to run into a stacked front or call passes from formations with limited receiver spacing.
  • The passing concept list leans on Corner, Out, Flat, Curl Flat, Flood and Smash, which are sideline and intermediate answers. There is little deep crossing or mesh volume, so a disciplined Cover 4 user can squeeze the boundary and take away your best looks.
  • Under center reliance (70 Singleback plus 85 two back plays) makes your snap point predictable for pass rush timing, and users who master edge rush moves get home before your Play Action rollouts develop.

Usage Tips

Build your primary audible package out of one Singleback set and one Shotgun set so you can flip between run heavy and three receiver spacing on any down. Use the Singleback side on first and second down, and the Shotgun side on third and 6 or longer.

Open drives from I Form or Strong I and commit to FB Dive and 0 1 Trap on first down. Once the safeties are sitting at eight yards, call Play Action from the identical formation and target the Corner and Flood routes over the vacated half of the field.

Save Full House for second and short and third and 2 or less. Its 12 plays are unfamiliar to most defenders, and the tight backfield lets you shift and motion to identify the front before committing to a run or a play fake.

Use Curl Flats and 494 F Flat from Shotgun on third and 5 to 8. The Curl Flat and Flat concepts give you a built in high low that beats zone, and hot routing the inside receiver to a drag turns them into man beaters.

Inside the 5, go to Goal Line Offense rather than forcing Shotgun. Pair it with the 23 and 22 personnel groupings so your blocking bodies match the play call, and keep Weak I in the package as your outside zone changeup.
