Identify press man coverage on the outside receivers pre-snap, this usually signals the defense wants to bracket the HB corner with a linebacker or nickel defender underneath. Watch safety depth at the snap, if both safeties bail deep into a two high shell, the corner route has a tighter window but still beats man leverage from linebackers. Key the flat defender's first step, if he sprints outside to jump the corner route immediately, that indicates a zone blitz or robber concept designed to bait this exact throw.
