Both mug linebackers and a slot defender crash the A and B gaps off the edges while the strong safety buzzes down into the underneath middle hole, leaving three deep defenders to divide the field into thirds and four underneath zone defenders (two flat, two hook/buzz) to clog the short and intermediate windows. This is a zone blitz designed to disguise pressure while still playing sound zone coverage behind it, so there is no true "primary read" for the defense, instead the call lives and dies on winning gap integrity up front while the zone drops squeeze the quarterback's first and second reads underneath.

Bait the offense into hot routes or check downs by showing two deep safeties then rotating to the three deep shell after the snap.
