Sim Focusedtargeting Ph Offense is a 191 play specialty book built around downhill, two back football with just enough spread passing to keep a defense honest. The giveaway is the personnel list: 23, 21 and 22 groupings sit alongside 11 and 12, and 35% of the playbook lives in I Form (38 plays, 3 sets) and Strong I (28 plays, 3 sets). That is a heavier condensed backfield presence than most offensive specialty books carry, and it is paired with Singleback at 46 plays across 5 sets. Shotgun is still the single largest formation at 50 plays (26%), but it is only four sets deep, so the passing game here is a complement to the run rather than the engine.
Concept coverage tells the same story. Power, Power Run, Counter, Toss and Dive give you every downhill run family you need out of Strong I and I Form, while Play Action, Spot, Flat, Curls and a listed Cover 3 Beater let you punish the safety rotation you just created. Motion is a covered concept, which matters in a book with this much condensed personnel: you can shift a back or flex a tight end out of 22 and 23 and force the defense to declare man or zone before you ever snap it. Pistol (17 plays, 2 sets) is the small-but-useful bridge formation, giving you gap runs with a deeper QB read point, and Goal Line Offense (9 plays, 1 set) plus a two set Hail Mary package close out the situational end.
Choosing Sim Focusedtargeting Ph Offense over a spread-first book gets you a coherent clock-killing identity that does not collapse the moment you need a pass. FB Dive and 0 1 Trap from the condensed sets set up Curls and Bench from Shotgun and Singleback off the same look, and Goal Post out of Hail Mary gives you an end-of-half answer without burning a playbook slot on a gimmick. If your game plan is to win the down-and-distance battle, stay in second-and-five all game, and throw off run action instead of dropping back 40 times, this is the book.
Sim Focusedtargeting Ph Offense wants a physical run first roster: a high trucking and carrying back with good ball carrier vision, a fullback with real impact blocking and lead block ratings, and multiple tight ends who can actually block since 23 and 22 personnel carry three and two tight end sets respectively. The quarterback does not need elite mobility given the thin 17 play Pistol package, but he does need play action and short-to-intermediate accuracy to hit the Curls, Spot and Flat windows the run game opens. Pick this book if you enjoy grinding clock, controlling down and distance, and throwing off run action rather than out-scheming people from empty, and if your line has the run blocking and strength ratings to win the point of attack on Power and Counter.
Search every playbook by tag and personnel grouping, not just Sim Focusedtargeting Ph Offense.
Build your base audible package out of Strong I and I Form and make sure Power, Counter and FB Dive are all reachable from the same formation call. Use these on first and second down inside the ten yard line and any time you need four yards or fewer.
Put Singleback at the center of your medium down audible slot, since it has the most sets (5) in the book. Bench and other quick timing throws from here are your second-and-six to second-and-eight answers when you want to stay balanced.
Reserve Shotgun (4 sets, 50 plays) for third down and two-minute work, and lean on Curls as your primary chain-mover against zone. Do not drift into Shotgun on early downs or you throw away the play action leverage the run volume built.
Use Pistol as your changeup, not your base. Two sets means limited variety, so call it after you have established Power from Strong I and want the same gap scheme with a deeper QB read point on second and short.
Set Goal Line Offense in your dedicated short yardage audible and save the two Hail Mary sets with Goal Post strictly for the end of half or end of game clock situation where you need one shot.
Hot route the backside tight end or motioned back out of 22 and 23 personnel to manufacture the man beaters this book does not list, since the concept coverage here is run and play action first.
