Usage Tips
Check the box count before the snap and use this play specifically when the defense shows six or fewer in the box, since that math favors either the zone run or the bubble depending on flow
Identify the alert defender pre-snap, usually the slot side linebacker or overhang defender, and train your eyes there immediately after the snap instead of staring down the running back
Use hot routes sparingly here since the RPO read is designed to be fast, but you can motion the slot receiver pre-snap to bait the defender into declaring man or zone coverage
This play shines on early downs, first and ten or second and short, where defenses are more likely to load the box expecting inside zone
