Dagger X-Corner is a man beating concept out of Weak I with 3wr Flex personnel that pairs a deep dig from the X receiver's stem with a corner route breaking to the opposite hash, creating a natural high low stretch on any single high defender. The dagger combo underneath (typically the slot running a deep in while a vertical clears space) forces linebackers to widen or bite, opening throwing lanes for the corner route against Cover 3 or Cover 1. Primary read starts with the X receiver's corner route against the deep third defender, then works down to the underneath dig or dagger crosser if the corner is capped by a rolled up safety.
Watch the free safety pre-snap, if he stays deep middle in a single high alignment you can expect Cover 1 or Cover 3, both of which are vulnerable to the corner route sitting behind the cornerback's outside shoulder. Key the flow of the middle linebacker after the snap, if he sinks hard on the dagger crosser it opens a throwing window for the dig route working underneath the corner. User the deep safety if you are on defense, since this play lives and dies on beating that single high defender to the corner route landmark. Watch for a corner blitz or nano blitz off the edge, since the deep routes take time to develop and this play is vulnerable to any pressure that beats the offensive line before the corner route clears the cornerback. Cover 2 shells with two deep safeties shut this concept down hardest, since the corner route runs directly into the deep half defender's zone leverage.
Check the safety alignment before the snap, if you see a single high safety shaded toward the X side, expect the corner route to be taken away and be ready to work the dig underneath.
Use motion or a hard count to bait the defense into showing man or zone coverage before the snap, this tells you whether to prioritize the corner or the crossing route.
Hot route the backside receiver into a quick out or drag if you are facing a Cover 2 shell, this gives you a checkdown against the shorter zone defenders sitting underneath the corner route.

Best used on second and long or first down after establishing HB Gut or HB Stretch, since defenses will be more likely to sit in single high shells expecting run support.
