94 Will out of the Weak I Pro formation (21 personnel) is a designed QB power run hitting off tackle to the strongside. The diagram shows the QB stepping laterally toward the line before cutting upfield behind his blockers, with the fullback and playside linemen climbing to seal the edge and kick out the force defender. There are no receiver routes shown, both outside wideouts are running go routes to clear vertical space and hold the corners, confirming this is a pure downhill run design with the QB as the primary ball carrier reading the point of attack for the crease off tackle.
Watch for stacked box fronts with the strong safety walked down, this play struggles against gap-sound run fits with extra defenders inside. Look for the play side defensive end and outside linebacker alignment, if they are crashing hard inside the QB has a wide cutback lane to bounce outside. This run beats light boxes and defenses playing two deep safeties who are slow to fill the alley. It gets shut down against blitz-heavy fronts that send an extra man off the edge unblocked, since there is no route or RPO tag to punish the pressure. Post-snap, track the playside linebacker's fill speed. If he flows too fast to the tackle the QB should cut it back behind the fullback's kick out block.
Call this on early downs when you need to establish tempo and force the defense to respect the QB run threat before opening up play action later in the drive.
Check the box count pre-snap. If the defense has six or fewer in the box you have a numbers advantage at the point of attack.
Use this play in sequence with PA Boot and PA Boot Lt off the same Weak I look so the defense has to honor the run fake on those boot actions.
Motion is not built into this play, so rely on formation recognition and a hard count to bait linebackers into flowing early or jumping offside.
Avoid calling this on obvious passing downs since the design gives you zero route concepts to fall back on if the run lane closes.
