Defensive Reads
Look for a lone deep safety pre-snap, that alignment confirms single high man coverage and tips off receivers running vertical routes into tight coverage. Watch the robber defender depth at the snap, if he sits shallow in the middle he is jumping any crossing route or drag concept designed to beat man coverage. This shell struggles against option routes and pick concepts where receivers stack or rub off each other near the line, since man defenders can get picked off blockers.
