Arrow

The Arrow tag identifies plays built around the arrow route, a quick release where the receiver (usually the Y tight end) angles flat and fast toward the sideline to attack the flat defender and create a simple horizontal read. On madden.tools it currently maps to RPO Read Y Arrow out of the Shotgun formation's Doubles Off Close set, where the QB reads the conflict defender and either hands off or pulls and fires the arrow into the vacated flat. Filtering by Arrow lets competitive players quickly locate this RPO concept for punishing aggressive run fits, nano blitz looks, and Cover 3 flat defenders who crash on the inside zone.
