Defensive Reads
Watch the alignment of the outside cornerback and safety before the snap, since a hard corner and rolled-down safety on the sweep side signal that the edge is loaded and the run should be checked. Key the play-side outside linebacker or defensive end at the snap, if he crashes hard down inside he can be sealed easily, but if he sits and boxes the run it forces a tighter cutback lane. Look for user-controlled defenders flying downhill immediately at the mesh point, which indicates the human defender has diagnosed jet sweep and will try to blow it up in the backfield. Zone defenses that spill the play outside to the sideline and rally with numbers will shut this down, so avoid this call against defenses showing Cover 3 Sky or Cover 4 with disciplined force players. Man coverage with off-ball linebackers who bite on the fake or get caught trailing across the formation in motion are the ideal defensive keys that indicate this run will hit for a big gain.

Call this on early downs (1st and 10 or 2nd and short) to keep defenses honest, then pair it with Power and Counter from the same Wildcat Pro set so linebackers cannot key on jet motion alone.
If the defense shows a hard edge or scrapes a linebacker fast to the flat, audible or check into Power to attack downhill through the middle instead.
User the lead blocker at the point of attack to pick off the force defender, since winning this individual leverage block is what springs the ball carrier for an explosive gain.
