The Jaguars are in a financially constrained position right now, sitting with only $9.2M in cap room (rank 26 of 32) while carrying a punishing $51.2M in dead money (rank 9 of 32, where 1 means the most dead money in the league). The $6.0M in rollover (rank 21 of 32) provides a modest cushion but does little to change the big picture. The team has 26 expiring contracts this offseason, which creates both urgency and opportunity, as letting the right players walk could generate meaningful savings.
