Dime 3-2-6 puts three down linemen, two linebackers, and six defensive backs on the field, trading a linebacker and an edge rusher for an extra corner or safety. It is a pass-first personnel group built to match empty, 10 personnel, and 11 personnel spread looks where the offense flexes a back or tight end into the slot, letting you cover every eligible receiver with a true coverage defender instead of a linebacker. In Madden this forces the offense to declare its intentions early: the light box invites the run, but the two-linebacker front with Sugar 3-2 alignment can walk both backers up as A-gap threats, scrambling protection IDs and making the QB re-read the blitz pre-snap.
