Defensive Reads

Post-snap, track the two underneath yellow zone droppers, they are your primary lurk threats to jump in-breaking routes like drags and shallow crosses. Usage Tips
Diagnose formation strength pre-snap and shade the quarters side toward the boundary receiver's split to avoid conflicts between the corner and safety on go routes.
Use this call on second and long or third and medium when offenses are likely to attack with vertical shots, since the quarter side gives extra deep help versus one main receiver.
Hot route the flat defender to sit slightly wider if you expect quick bubble screens or RPO flat throws, since the natural drop can leave a soft window underneath.
Pair this with Cover 3 Sky or Cover 4 Drop from the same set so the underneath rotation and initial linebacker drops look identical, keeping the quarterback guessing between two and three deep shells.
